Tropical Storm Claudette-On-My-Nerves

So we're in Destin on vacation right now, and so far it's been an interesting trip.

Tropical Storm Claudette blew through this morning and that sort of put a damper on getting in the water. It turned out to be not much of a storm, at least on this side of it. I can't say the same for Panama City and other cities east of here, but we were ok. The power went out for about an hour this morning. No biggy.

It should be relatively clear and calm for the rest of the week, scattered thunderstorms, I think.

We hit the beach yesterday, and after the storm, we went down this afternoon and got a few pics.

I think Tristan and I are going to build some sand castles tomorrow...

Good Friends

Oh, I almost forgot...

Some friends came over last Sunday to have dinner with us. It was actually the same friend who I did some recording with (coming soon).
They surprised me with a birthday cake that was about 3 weeks early.
Anyway, it was really cool of them, and I had to get a photo of it before we dug into it.
Good friends are priceless...

We arrived in Destin today at around 4:00. We love this place.

I can't believe I've been slacking so bad on my writing lately... not that it's very good writing or anything, I'm just supposed to be sticking to this thing for a year.
I'm going to do better. While I'm on vacation, I plan on catching up with it. I mean, it's something I want to do, so I'm just gonna. Also, we're going to have a lot of fun on this trip... regardless of the tropical storm that's on it's way here.
