Done Deal

I just got back from the DMV to have the title on the Jeep transferred to my name.

It cost a little more than I thought it would. They actually charged me for the value of the Jeep, rather than what I actually paid for it.
Pissed me right off.
The government taxes my income, then they tax me again when I buy something USED. Someone else has already paid the taxes on this product when it was new. Why should I have to pay taxes on it AGAIN when it's from a private owner?

I know it's the "norm", that that's the way things are done and all, but I don't have to like it.
Anyway, the deal is done for good now, and all is well.
