Road Trek

Yesterday, after an awesome fajita feast at Papasitos, we went to the theater to see the new Star Trek movie.
Now, I'm no Trekkie, but, wow, that movie was awesome! Even Amy loved it. Tristan was surprisingly indifferent about it because he thinks Wolverine can beat Spock in a bare knuckles fight... I dunno man, that Vulcan nerve grip thing... but today he came around and said, it was definitely cool.

Today I went shopping for a some new hiking boots. I hate shopping...
Less than 2 weeks before our R O A D T R I P ! !

Tristan and I went fishing this afternoon.

I had a great time, even though I didn't catch anything. Tristan caught a catfish and that is just like me catching something.
He was extremely happy about it. At first he was not having such a great time. We had been there for no more than 30 minutes when he asked if I was ready to go. After he caught the fish I asked him if HE was ready to go. He said NO! ha!

He wanted nothing more than to clean that fish, and eat it. I would have let him too, but it was just a little too small.
We let the catfish go, and I think we all went home with clear consciences because of it.
Got a camphone pic:

How did your Saturday go?

Straighten It Up

Friday night party.

Not.

Just chillin' at home. Don't have any real plans for tomorrow either. Just veg and go easy on it.

Maybe I'll work on straightening out the Weeping Willow. It blew over to about a 60˚ angle during the hurricane. I should probably get around to that... yeah...

Jam With Me

I just got home from a rehearsal. It was fun and all, but I am really dying to have a good 'ol fashioned jam session.
Some of the guys I play with on a regular basis keep talking about getting together and doing a jam, but it just hasn't happened.
I don't really get that. When I was younger, ALL we did was play music. Any opportunity we had to play, we played.
These guys always seem to have something better to do.
I guess I'll just have to start playing more at home by myself.

The iPod ALWAYS wants to jam with me.
