Oh boy. I'm tired. We've been up and down and all around this Disney Hollywood today. I need to get some rest.

Spring Break Starts Tomorrow!
I'm excited.
Tomorrow morning, we're leaving for Disney World! It's going to be a nice, relaxing, hair-raising experience.
I hear the rides there are awesome. I'm going to be like the dad in the commercial who turns into a kid when he walks into Disney World. Tristan and I are going to go nuts.
It's funny.
My family went on a vacation to Florida and DW when I was a kid. That was a crazy trip. It was sort of awful.
We drove there in a '78 Ford Thunderbird, pulling a pop-up camper in the dead of Summer. There were 6 of us, and we three boys camped out in tents for the week we were there. haha. To make matters worse, I had a terrible ingrown toenail at the time. Good times, Good Tiiiimes!
I remember my dad saying, "Soak this up, kids. It may be 10 years before you get to come back here."
It's been 25 years. ha!
It's SO much different than it was way back when. Better and more rides.

I'll still be posting everyday as usual. I need to get the pics from the races up... for posterity of course... and to show off my manliness. ::cough::

The Race
So I did the race today.
Wow.
It was cold, and rainy, and kinda sucked, but was kinda AWESOME!
It rained all the way from Houston to Athens. All the way.
I was afraid that the friends that I had persuaded to come along... actually it was by accident that I persuaded them, I just told them how fun it was and next thing I know, they're signing up, anyway, I was afraid that they would think the whole thing sucked and never want to race again. This wasn't the case. They loved it and one of them even toughed it out through a cold or flu or something.
The one friend that I really wanted to beat, beat me. haha yeah, he beat me by 22 seconds. Can you believe that crap?? I beat him in the swim, transition 1, transition 2, AND the run, but he kicked my butt on the bike. He's a really muscular guy, and his legs got him over those frakkin' hills a lot faster than mine did. It was still a sweet race, and because he started after me on the swim, he never physically caught up with me. That would have been devastating. haha. He and I are well matched. I will be sure and work on my bike for the next race May 2.
Just like last year, Amy was there supporting me and taking pictures which I'll be sure and get up sometime this century. I say this because I haven't even posted the pics from the last race.
::sigh:: Oh, how I procrastinate.
On another note, tomorrow church, then Monday: DISNEY WORLD!!

Other Stuff Besides The Race...
So yeah, I haven't really talked about our Spring Break vacation coming up next week. I've been too focused on the race and all...
Anyhoo, we're going to Disney World and Universal Studios for a week! Leaving Monday morning and coming back Saturday morning.
It should be a blast. Tristan and Amy went with my MIL last year while I stayed home and worked... hmmmm, this is starting to sound familiar.
Maybe I have already talked about it.
Tristan already has all the rides planned out that I'm going to be riding. He and Amy both say they are a lot of fun and pretty intense.
The pictures from last year prove it.
Their faces... hahaha I guess from when they were going down a hill on the rollercoaster. Pretty funny stuff. I can't wait!
We're staying at a hotel inside the park which means we get to keep riding rides and all until 2am! It might take me a day or two to get into that flow, but I'm willing to do my best.
I'm also going to tackle Mickey Mouse if I see him.
